Google has closed its home robot project. It's called Everyday Robots.

Everyday Robots will no longer exist asa separate Alphabet team. This was announced by Denise Gamboa, director of marketing and communications for Everyday Robots. She added that the company will try to integrate some of the staff and some of the technology into robotics projects that exist within Google Research.

Everyday Robots launched in 2019.The company's goal was to create mobile robots for the home that could help people. For example, sorting garbage and cleaning the table. Google has been testing wheeled robots equipped with a single arm.

The closure of the project is due to the desire of Alphabetcut costs. Google laid off 12,000 employees last month. The staff of the robotics company Instrinic, which develops software for industrial robots, has been reduced by about 20% (40 people).
