What is known
Howitzer developed by AM Generalin cooperation with the Mandus Group. It is based on the 105 mm M20 cannon, which was installed on the Humvee M1152 armored vehicle. The artillery mount has a Soft Recoil soft recoil system to reduce the load and stabilize the structure.
Location of the gun on a Humveeensures high mobility of the howitzer system. The light weight and relatively compact overall dimensions make it possible to transport the CT-2 Hawkeye by helicopters on slings.
Artillery mount equipped with a sightM137A2, MG 9000 digital system, Northrop Grumman LN-270 inertial navigation and Sensor Systems GPS antenna. The maximum firing range of conventional and active-rocket projectiles is approximately 12 km and 20 km, respectively.
The CT-2 Hawkeye weighs less than 4500 kg. The overall dimensions are 5 x 2.4 x 2.3 m. The Humvee can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and have a range of 400 km on the highway.
