AM General has unveiled a new updated version of the Humvee armored car. It's called the Humvee Saber Blade.
What is known
The armored vehicle was developed jointly with companiesAeroVironment and Hornet Defense. The first is engaged in the production of military drones, including Switchblade kamikaze drones, and the second produces remotely controlled combat modules.

Humvee Saber Blade equipped with Hornet Air turretGuard Remote Controlled Weapon System, which received a system for countering enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. It includes IR cameras, electro-optical sensors, radar and a Heckler & Koch GMG caliber 40 km.
Another feature of the machine is the presencelauncher for loitering ammunition company AeroVironment. We are talking about Switchblade 300 and Switchblade 600. Humvee Saber Blade can carry 10 Switchblade 600 anti-kamikaze drones and 14 less powerful Switchblade 300 loitering ammunition.
