Amazon introduced an electric vehicle for the delivery of goods

By 2022, Amazon plans to introduce 10 thousand.electric vehicles as part of a larger environmental commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. Amazon placed an order for 100,000 electric vehicles in late 2019, months after it led the startup's $700 million funding round. Amazon expects to receive the remaining 90,000 electric vans by 2030.

Amazon is actively collaborating with other automakers as well. Amazon ordered 1,800 more electric vans from Mercedes in August 2020, CNBC reported.
