Amazon sells expired foods

US media reports on expired food being sent to customers

third-party stores on the Amazon platform. The expiration date for some foods has already expired a year ago. At least 40% of sellers have negative reviews related to expired food products.

What are they doing with this?

Third-party sellers must comply not onlylaw, but also Amazon’s policy, which states that any item must be stored for at least 90 days. The company also added that they use reviews and AI to study feedback, and if a product does not meet Amazon standards, it will be blocked (it is possible that the seller’s account will be removed along with it).

However, expired foods still come to people, and the company blames third-party sellers for it.
