Amazon Unveils Drone for Parcel Delivery

The new drone was presented at the re: MARS conference. The drone is able to vertically take off and land, and

also carry cargo weighing up to 2.7 kg at a distance of up to 24 km.

Delivery with new drones will begin atover the coming months. During this time, the engineers will conduct all the necessary tests of the device, and the company will receive permits to operate in urban environments.

At the same time, the Amazon message does not specify whether it is a matter of launching a full service or only testing it.

Earlier, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States (FAA) issued a certificate to the airline for the start-up of cargo transportation by drones. This is the first such case in history.
