AMD showed off its dual-chip flagship Radeon HD 7990

AMD Graphics Solutions CEO Matt Skynner demonstrated

at the GDC 2013 conference (Game DevelopersConference) in San Francisco for a reference dual-chip video card Radeon HD 7990 (codenamed Malta). The video adapter is equipped with a two-slot active cooling system with three fans; the manufacturer focuses on the noiselessness of this solution. The video card is designed for PCI Express 3.0 x16 bus. On board 6144 MB (3072 MB per chip) GDDR5 memory, 384-bit interface. The operating frequency of the memory is not specified. The operating frequency of the graphics cores is expected to be about 1000 MHz, and the TDP level will not exceed 375 W.

Additional power will be provided by two8-pin connectors. Four Mini DisplayPort and one DVI connectors are provided for image output. The official release of the video card should take place in the second quarter of the year, and the recommended price will be close to $1000 (8100 UAH / 30600 rubles).
