American postmen will be given service electric cars

The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced that it has purchased new cargo vans. Some of them are based

on electric motors, and some on economical traditional internal combustion engine solutions.

Very soon, service workers will receivethe use of purchased vehicles, according to the official USPS website. The trucks were developed by Oshkosh Defense, and a distinctive feature of their solution (in addition to the electric motor) is the increased volume and height of the body. Also among the innovations can be noted the appearance of an airbag, a parking radar, a rear view camera, as well as a blind spot detector and air conditioning.

According to USPS representatives, this is the largest-scale renewal of the company's fleet in the last 30 years. The final conversion process should be completed by 2023.
