An American satellite “saw” an unusual message from Earth

On May 6, 2022, the GOES East weather satellite operated by the National Oceanic Administration

US Atmospheric Research (NOAA), foundoff the coast of Chile in South America, an unusual cloud pattern that appeared to form the word “GO.” This phenomenon is an example of pareidolia. Let us remember that this is a type of visual illusion that involves the formation of illusory images based on real objects.

“NOAA satellites never rest, constantlyand vigilantly monitoring the weather on Earth,” NOAA representatives wrote on Twitter, sharing the photo. “We were surprised to see this interesting movement in the marine stratocumulus clouds off the coast of Chile, which appears to form a “G” shape.” Later, representatives of the department shared their opinion on social networks that the inscription was similar to the call “Go”.

“Although the message 'GO' in the Earth's clouds is simplea random form caused by atmospheric conditions at the time, it’s funny to think that Mother Earth might be trying to communicate with us from time to time,” concludes Tariq Malik, editor-in-chief of Space.com in an article for Live Science.
