Americans almost completely switched to iPhone smartphones

Researchers from Counterpoint Research have published a report on the US smartphone market for 2020. As it turned out,

Apple ended the year with record sales.

According to the report, in December 2020, there weresold 14.9 million smartphones in total. Apple devices account for 64%, or more than half. This means that Americans bought about 9.54 million iPhones in December alone. The market shares of other manufacturers look negligible against this background: only Samsung stands out with 20%. However, it can be said that the average American is more likely to own an Apple smartphone.
