An adapter has been created for turning wheelchairs into gaming chairs

The developers of ATMakers, together with the charity AbleGamers, have created an adapter that can

turn a wheelchair into a gaming chair. A special adapter transforms the stroller joystick controller into a gamepad for Xbox.

An adapter called the Freedom Wing connects the Xbox Adaptive Controller to a wheelchair. This allows you to use the joysticks to control the stroller as gamepads.

Freedom Wing is distributed byAbleGamers. It is reported that anyone can assemble such an adapter themselves by purchasing a printed circuit board for $7 and other necessary components. The total amount should be no more than $35. The resulting adapter should be compatible with many wheelchairs on the market, as it uses a 9-pin serial port connector.

In addition, the creators promised that Freedom Wing will allow you to play not only on the Xbox, but also on other platforms.
