An implant with wireless charging was presented in Russia

Researchers from St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation

introduced new sensors that can monitor human health. Devices can be charged without being removed from the body, which will not cause harm and reduce the likelihood of infection.

“We have developed a charging device thatbrought to the place where the implant is installed. Energy is transferred through the skin. This is the advantage of our solution, - said Alexei Rabin, director of the SUAI Research Coordination Center. - Most of the existing implants are such that they need to be constantly removed from the human body, causing him inconvenience. Our charging is non-contact, and the sensors do not overheat and do not cause inconvenience to the patient. "

Microimplant measures real-time oxygen levels in tissues deep under the skin

The scientists added that the system consists of a sensor, antenna and charger, but its size is only a few cubic centimeters. The device can measure pulse, temperature, electrocardiogram and the state of the gastrointestinal tract. The data is sent to your phone, tablet or computer.

“Very often people die becausethe ambulance arrives late. The patient calls it only when he feels unwell. Our device allows you to monitor a person's condition in real time, notify an ambulance when the person's condition only slightly deviates from the norm, ”the researchers noted.
