Judging by the current state of affairs, it is possible withI can say with full confidence that there is no solution regarding the Touch ID sensor yet, as there are no Apple plans for using this technology. For a long time, it was believed that Apple integrates this sensor into the display so that the user can use it on the front panel - as it has been since its first appearance in the device. But the discussion about whether Apple will adhere to this plan or not, has recently become a constant source of conflicting rumors.

MacRumors Web Portal Expert Tipsinformation from an analytical report written by Andrew Hargreaves, an analyst with Pacific Crest Securities, who details Apple’s possible solutions for the equation with the iPhone 8 OLED screen, where the Touch ID sensor acts as a very large and unstable variable.
According to the conclusions of Hargreaves, at the momentApple is more inclined to decide not to use the Touch ID sensor if it cannot be used below the surface of the screen in the way that the company would like. But, before making such a decision, Apple may simply delay the release of the iPhone 8 device, citing problems in its production in order to allow itself more time to find a solution to this equation:
“Possible Solutions to Appleinclude delaying the release of OLED iPhone or not using a fingerprint sensor in it. We believe that Apple will continue its work to find a solution to the problem of placing an optical sensor. If a solution is found within a few months, then for this period it will be necessary to postpone the release of a new device. This decision will lead to a delay in the release of the device, but should not affect its volume of production. If a solution is not found within the specified time, then perhaps Apple will have to abandon the idea of using a fingerprint sensor in the OLED iPhone. ”

“Suppliers consider this solutionsatisfies two conditions: speed and reliability of recognition even in low light conditions and in conditions of use in an emergency view. If this opinion is confirmed, then the use of 3D scanning technology as the only biometric way of confirming and recognizing the device user will become a natural and innovative replacement for the very popular fingerprint sensor. ”
