Android 12 will hibernate unused apps and update trash

Despite the fact that the official launch of Android 12 is still far away, users continue to find

preliminary versions of the software platformnew features. Perhaps in the future they will become part of the stable version of the OS. This time, enthusiasts discovered a function that automatically puts those applications that have not been used for a long time into sleep mode. Most likely, it will optimize the consumption of device resources.

In other words, users will be able to see,how much trash is in the trash before you finally remove it. Any files left in the Trash for 30 days will be permanently deleted.

In Android 11 Developer Preview 3, developersadded a new feature "automatic revocation of permissions". It automatically revokes all user-granted permissions if the application has not been used for several months. It seems that in Android 12, developers intend to expand the concept of "unused apps" with a new feature that will activate some kind of hibernation mode. In addition to revoking permissions for unused apps, the OS will also automatically delete temporary files to free up space on your device's memory.

Enthusiasts managed to activate the new "Unused Apps" section on the "App Information" page. It showed a switch “Remove permissions and free up space.”

Details of the new bucket are to be revealed during the Google I / O virtual developer conference, expected on May 18th.
