Announcement of Vivo X Fold 2 – more powerful, thinner, lighter, but there is a nuance

Vivo introduced the third generation Vivo X Fold in China. The X Fold 2 replaces the X Fold+, and compared to its predecessor

stands out mainly due to reducedthickness (5.95/12.9 mm versus 7.4/14.9 mm for X Fold+), weight (about 280 g versus 311) and increased power (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 + UFS 3.0 + LPDDR5X versus 8+ Gen 1 , UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5). The new product also has brighter, new-generation displays, a 4800 mAh battery with 120W fast charging and support for Wi-Fi 7. However, there is a very important nuance – camera. The X Fold 2 uses a triple module with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel wide sensor and a 12-megapixel portrait sensor, that is, the telephoto periscope from the X Fold+ has not returned here. The capture angle for the wide-angle camera was 108 degrees. The round block design matches Vivo's signature style.

Vivo X Fold 2 is only available for Chinesepublic. The price starts at 8999 yuan, which is 1000 yuan less than the Vivo X Fold+ was asked for at launch. The color palette includes black, red and blue color options. It is not necessary to count on the globalka right now.
