Announcement of Gigaset GX4: German protection with a small screen

The German company Gigaset has introduced a relatively inexpensive rugged smartphone GX4. Like other models,

introduced in recent years, newassembled at the company's own plant in Bocholt (North Rhine-Westphalia). In addition to the high protection class (MIL-STD-810H + IP68), the smartphone stands out for its abundance of LEDs: there is an LED ring on the rear panel that signals notifications, and an LED indicator on top of the screen. Another feature is a removable 5000 mAh battery with support for 30-W wired and 15-W wireless charging.

Gigaset GX4 received a relatively small6.1″ screen with a resolution of 1560x720 pixels, but fans of compact smartphones have nothing to rejoice at: due to the wide frames, the smartphone turned out to be huge (160.9 x 80 x 12.2 mm, 270 g). The back of the GX4 is made of plastic, and the frame is made of an alloy of aluminum, magnesium and titanium. Other technical characteristics include Android 12, dual camera (48 MP base + 8 MP wide), 16 MP front camera, FM radio support, fingerprint scanner in the power button, NFC, headphone jack, triple tray (no hot swap), 4 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM and MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. The Gigaset GX4 price is 349 euros (24,300 rubles); The smartphone will be sold only in Germany.
