Announcement of Google Pixel Watch – all the features of WearOS and FitBit

Google has finally introduced the long-awaited Pixel Watch, which became the first in the Made By Google line (came on

change Nexus in due course).The new product is positioned as the embodiment of all that is good from Google (WearOS in particular) and FitBit (more recently owned by “Google”). In fact, this is conveyed through rich functionality and its software support. In particular, the watch supports a number of popular applications, including Spotify, Google services such as Maps, Gmail, Wallet and YouTube Music (3 months of Premium subscription to music as a gift), FitBit developments, in particular, heart rate reading algorithms, ECG, sleep quality assessments and so on (6 months of Fitbit Premium goodies for all buyers).


News in development

The technical content of the Pixel Watch is verydecent. Here is an AMOLED display with a pixel density of 320ppi and a peak brightness of 1000 nits (resolution and size not officially announced), an Exynos 9110 chipset with a Cortex-M33 co-processor, 2 GB of RAM (!) and 32 GB of ROM, Wi-Fi modules (2 .4 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFS and LTE (in the corresponding edition), there is a microphone and speaker. The stainless steel case and Gorilla Glass 5 are protected from water (5 ATM). A 294 mAh battery is responsible for autonomy, which is charged with the included magnetic charger. As already mentioned, the watch runs on the Wear OS 3.5 platform.

Google Pixel Watch is available in two variants: s.LTE and without it. Price – $399 and $349 respectively. There are four color combinations (in the renderings below). Pre-order is open today. The Pixel Watch collection includes as many as 20 strap options. By the way, they are sold separately at prices ranging from $49.99 to $79.99.
