Announcement of Meizu 20 and 20 Pro – the return of a legend with Flyme 10

Meizu has finally introduced the flagship Meizu 20 family, which includes two models – Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro. Both

characterized by an ultra-fast optical scannerfinger, the most powerful “iron” led by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, strong cameras and Flyme 10 software with OneMind 10 AI package and Flyme Auto add-ons (for owners from Geely). The classic differences between the two models include the difference in screen, camera composition, fast charging power, and the Pro version has such goodies as 50 W wireless charging, a UWB module for electronic locks, and that’s all, and a dTOF sensor for the camera. Separately, we note the design, which is some symbiosis of the iPhone 14 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S23 and the classic Meizu with its ring flash.

What about the cameras? In both cases, a 32-megapixel front camera with f/2.45 aperture and 5 lenses is used, but the main module is different. The “proshka” three 50-megapixel lenses: base, telephoto and wide. From a practical point of view, they provide shooting with a 129-degree capture angle, 1.5 cm macro and 2x optical zoom, and a dTOF sensor helps with high-quality assessment of objects for AI magic. We also added video shooting in 8K. The younger version has a more modest set: 50-megapixel base, 16-megapixel wide (122 degrees) and 5-megapixel telephoto. There is 8K, but no dTOF.

Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro will be available in China inMonday, April 3. Each is offered in three configuration options – 128, 256 and 512 GB (12 GB of RAM for all). But the color palette of the two models is different (details below). Unfortunately, there are no plans for an international release yet. The issue of Russian localization still remains open.
