Announcement Snapdragon 782G - the same eggs, only in profile

After waiting a week from the presentation of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm quietly launched another new product – the 6nm Snapdragon 782G. Judging by the code

designation (SM7325-AF) and parameters, chipis an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 778G+ (SM7325-AE), which in turn was an overclocked Snapdragon 778G (SM7325) released a year and a half ago. Moreover, this time they decided to overclock in a special way: the frequency of one of the four Cortex-A78 cores was raised from 2.5 to 2.71 GHz, making it a kind of super-core, and the other three Cortex-A78, on the contrary, were cut to 2.4 GHz.

Energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores have also been trimmed from1.9 to 1.8 GHz. The video core remains the same - Adreno 642L. There are no other differences from the Snapdragon 778G/778G+. Supports cameras up to 200MP, 4K@30fps HDR recording, and 4K screens up to 60Hz (FHD+ up to 144Hz). The first smartphone based on the Snapdragon 782G will be the Honor 80, which will debut today.
