Anonymous hackers hacked Rutube in March, but the service's cyber experts only found out about it on May 9

On May 9, the RuTube video hosting service stopped working in Russia after a powerful cyber attack, for which

hackers Anonymous took over. As it turned out, the service was hacked back in March, but RuTube cyber specialists found out about this only a couple of months later.

This became known after the publication of the firstthe results of the hack investigation. The Russian company Positive Technologies was hired for this. Interestingly, its CEO praised RuTube's cybersecurity team.

The video service was hacked in March.For about two months, Anonymous hackers studied the features of his work and determined the main places to strike. The head of Positive Technologies said that RuTube's IT specialists immediately (though two months later) began to turn off virtual machines important to hackers. It didn't help much. After the cyber attack, RuTube did not work for several more days.
