Another batch of 155-mm howitzers M777 from the USA is going to Ukraine

The Pentagon has prepared another batch of 155 mm M777 towed howitzers for Ukraine. their transportation

taken over by the US Air Force.

The US military uses the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The Pentagon said the howitzers are "part of the United States' efforts to provide Ukraine with additional capabilities."

The gun is made of titanium alloy, due tothan managed to reduce its weight to 4.2 tons. The M777 is a British designed howitzer but is now manufactured in the United States. It is equipped with a barrel length of 39 calibers. The initial speed of the projectile is 827 m / s. The firing range is almost 25 km using conventional projectiles and 30 km with Extended Range Full Bore (EFRB, extended-range high-explosive fragmentation projectiles).
