Earlier today, Apple released an iOS 11 security update containing a patch for the recently discovered Specter bug.
And now the same update has been released for the Mac. Apple officially released macOS High Sierra 10.13.2. The update can now be downloaded from the Mac App Store.

Specter and Meltdown - serious exploits,associated not with the system, but with the technology. Both were discovered recently and raised a great panic. Apple recently confirmed that exploits still threaten all of the company's devices.
IOS and macOS security updates should protect users from exploit-related attacks. They are available now, and we recommend that you install them as soon as possible.
Good thing Apple released updates so fast. Given that the Specter is technically not yet fixed, users can only rely on system updates. However, this is better than nothing, because the Specter and Meltdown exploits have touched a huge number of devices.
