Apple will release a 12.9-inch iPad Pro and MacBook with a mini-LED display by the end of 2020

The latest report from DigiTimes claims that Apple is planning to release a 12.9-inch iPad Pro and several more

devices with mini-LED displays by the end of 2020.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously reported that by the endIn 2020, the new display will appear on six devices: 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 10.2-inch iPad, 7.9 – inch iPad mini, 27-inch iMac Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro and updated 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Whether the updated LED display appears on the iMac / iMac Pro and Pro Display XDR models is not clear.

Prior to this, Kuo claimed that Apple will release the iMac Pro at the end of 2020. The previous iMac Pro was released in 2017.

Epistar, one of Taiwan's largest manufacturers of LED displays, is expected to become a supplier of mini-LED displays for the new iPad and MacBook models.

Compared to the OLED displays used iniPhone 11 Pro and Apple Watch, thousands of small LEDs are involved in mini-LEDs. Mini-LED displays have higher contrast and brightness, less power consumption and practically do not fade.
