Apple discontinues 21.5-inch iMac with Intel processor

Apple continues to transition its devices to Apple Silicon processors, “cleaning up” its product range.

Another one has disappeared from Apple's lineupThe model is a 21.5-inch iMac with an Intel processor. The publication 9to5Mac noticed that it was recently removed from the official online store, although the company itself did not confirm the discontinuation of production.

Let's remember, 21.The 5-inch iMac was available in a single configuration with a 7th generation dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, with a price tag of $1,099. It was criticized for its lagging technical characteristics, outdated design and relatively high price, but, nevertheless, the computer was very popular, especially in educational institutions.

Now in Apple's range there are only the iMac M1 with a 24-inch display, announced in April, and a 27-inch iMac based on an Intel processor with an old design.
