It looks like Apple has heard user complaints and acknowledged the issue with green screens of smartphones
On the forums, users write that the displaysflickering, green or gray glow, or other unintentional changes in lighting appear under certain conditions. Moreover, this problem affects all models of the line: iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Glow appears when the screen brightness is set to 90% or lower, as reported. But it is not always constant and for some it disappears over time.
What to do with it
MacRumors received an internal documentApple for Authorized Service Providers. It says that Apple is aware of user complaints and is currently investigating the issue. Experts are advised to avoid servicing affected iPhones - at least for the time being. Customers need to be informed that they must update their iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
It looks like the company is looking to fix the issue in a future software update. True, now it is in iOS 14.1, iOS 14.2 and, apparently, even in the first two beta versions of iOS 14.3.
By the way, the same green shades were at one time on smartphones iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, and Apple was able to fix this in iOS 13.6.1.</ p>
