Apple AirTag helped save a dog that was swept away by storm water

We have already heard many stories about how smart watches and Apple smartphones saved owners who were caught

in an accident and had health problems. But this story is about rescuing a pet.

During a walk with her owners, a one-year-oldAn Australian shepherd named Seamus fell into a storm drain. A powerful flow of sewage carried away the dog, but he was able to get out. However, he still ended up at the bottom of the drainpipe, from where he could not rise to the surface.

Fortunately, the owners attached an Apple AirTag to the pet's collar, which suggested the approximate location of the dog.

Seamus's owners turned to rescuers for help, and they quickly found the dog, got him out and returned him to his owners.

By the way, Apple created AirTag for trackingitems, and the company does not recommend using the tags to track pets, children or other living creatures, as they require a nearby iPhone to locate them and do not have their own built-in GPS tracking functionality.
