Apple plans to add wireless charging toyour future AR headset using coils and magnets (for alignment) on the back of the device. The device can be placed on top of the wireless charging stand, which simplifies not only the charge, but also the storage of the device.

The patent also describes a method of use.supporting parts of the helmet in the forehead and cheeks: they can be adjusted depending on the shape of the head. In addition, for the convenience of the user, the headset will use flexible wires and soft pads.

Presented today in AR and VR headsetscameras or laser systems used to detect real-world objects. Apple offers ultrasonic sensors for more accurate detection of surrounding objects. Using ultrasonic waves, the sensors determine the exact distance of nearby objects.

The display and lenses are the main componentsAR or VR headsets. Since all users have different vision, lens manufacturers make them adjustable. Apple's innovation is that the lens will be attached to the display with glue or gel. This will eliminate air gaps and the possibility of dust accumulation inside the headset. The headset can also be equipped with two lenses to adjust the optimal focal length.

Will Apple release an AR headset this year whilenot known. At the same time, an improved design structure and support for wireless charging can be a strong advantage of the Apple accessory compared to solutions already on the market. It's also interesting to see how an augmented reality headset fits into the company's ecosystem of devices.
