Apple explained how “clean energy charging” in iOS 16

The key point in all this is that the forecast is determined by GPS, which means Apple has pleased itself with another reason to once again find out your location, although it immediately denies this fact.

The tricky point is that thisThe feature only works in the US, but is already enabled by default on all iPhones that have upgraded to iOS 16.1. Of course, you can turn it off by going to Settings -> Battery -> Battery status and charging and turning off the “Clean Energy Charging” switch. Additionally, Apple explains that eco-charging will only work where you spend the most time and regularly charge your iPhone, which means that in new places and travel the device will charge at the highest possible speed.
