Apple has released iOS 9 GM (Golden Master) for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch for developers. iOS 9 build number GM 13A340.

Golden Master is the final build of iOS 9.which usually has the same build number as the new iPhones. Developers will be able to use it to submit iOS 9 compatible apps to the App Store.
Previously at the Hey Siri event, where they presented the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad mini 4 and the new Apple TV, Apple announced that they would release iOS 9 on September 16th.
Apple introduced iOS 9 at WWDC 2015 Keynote inJune. iOS 9 also includes many hidden features and several UI changes. iOS 9 GM is currently only available to registered developers in “Apple’s Developer Program”.
iOS 9 is compatible with the following iOS devices:
- iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPad 2
- iPad mini 3, Retina iPad mini (iPad mini 2), iPad mini
- 5th generation iPod touch, 6th generation iPod touch
The new iPhones will come withpre-installed iOS 9. You will not be able to update via OTA (over-the-air) from previous beta versions. You need to download iOS from Dev Center and install it on your device. We will add links to iOS 9 GM as soon as they become available.
