Apple, almost two years after removing the HomePod smart speaker from sale, has announced its new version.
What is known
The new product has the same cylindrical shape,but with a more sheer mesh fabric and an edge-to-edge backlit touchpad. It can be used to control the speaker and call the voice assistant Siri.

An updated S7 processor was installed in the column.Apple has also worked on the device's sound quality. The new product supports Spatial audio surround sound technology and boasts the ability to connect to Apple TV.

The new HomePod model can be used inas a home intercom for messaging. The new product also received sensors for detecting smoke and carbon monoxide. In addition, the device can check the temperature and humidity in the room.
Price and when to wait
Apple will begin selling the second generation HomePod on February 3. The speaker will cost $299.
