At today's Apple presentation, the base 8th generation iPad debuted along with the iPad Air.
What's new
Perhaps the most important change is the Apple chipA12, which was used in last year's iPad Air and iPad mini. According to the manufacturer, there is a 40% more powerful CPU and 2 times more powerful GPU compared to its predecessor. The tablet runs the new iPad OS 14.

The new iPad has a 10.2-inch Retina display and a familiar design: thick frames, a home button with Touch ID. But, like the iPad Air 4, they added an adapter with a USB-C connector.
