Apple is actively fighting against “leaks” new iOS. Sites are closing down

Following WWDC 2022 in June, Apple released the first iOS 16 developer beta and other updates

software for Apple Developer Program members. Some sites shared unofficial ways to install the latest beta, which Apple did not like. Discuss

BetaProfiles.com was one of the most popular sites that posted beta versions of Apple software initially released to developers. On Wednesday, BetaProfiles posted on its Twitter profile that the site would "close down soon" to avoid a "legal battle with Apple." Most likely the company threatened to file a lawsuit.

9to5mac writes that the BetaProfiles.com no longer exists. Another similar site, IPSW.dev, has also been shut down. However, it is not known if this site was removed for the same reason, or if the creators of IPSW.dev were simply afraid of getting a warning from Apple.

A third site called Apple Firmwares, which also shares profiles for installing Apple beta software is still online. According to MacRumors, lawyers representing Apple in Kilpatrick Townsend Stockton LLP allegedly asked Twitter to remove tweets containing links to these sites.
