Apple may be looking for an alternative to the Arm processor architecture

The uproar didn't die down after Apple stabbed its longtime partner, Intel, in the back.

having abandoned its processors in favor of its own development on the Arm architecture, as the vastness of the Internet is again noisy.

According to a recently published announcementvacancies, Apple is looking for an engineer specializing in RISC-V, an open source architecture instruction set that allows device manufacturers to create their own chips without having to pay a license or royalty.

Currently, Apple is known to use the Arm architecture, and pays the company royalties to use its instruction set in the M1 processors.

The Apple job description states that an engineerwill implement “innovative RISC-V solutions and state-of-the-art procedures” into Apple products. In particular, Apple hopes that future engineers will be able to work with the RISC-V instruction set, as well as understand Arm.

The vacancy announcement is a confirmationthat Apple is exploring the possibility of using RISC-V, but whether the company decides to implement this technology open source is still unknown. We can only say with certainty that over the past year, Apple's dependence on Arm has increased markedly, and Tim Cook clearly does not like any type of addiction.
