Apple named the best games of 2019 for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV

Apple decided to sum up the year by naming the best games that came out on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV in 2019.

The best
from the best

The best iPhone game in 2019 was Sky:Children of the Light by thatgamecompany. The project is reminiscent of Journey, because players were also invited to travel through beautiful locations alone or with strangers, and just enjoy the atmosphere. This is the case when the visual and sound design made the game.

At the same time, the best game for iPad was HyperLight Drifter from Abylight S.L, which can be called a pixelated Dark Souls. The game will also challenge the nerves and skills of the player, but the combat system itself is different, distinguishing the entertainment from similar projects. In addition, the advantages of Hyper Light Drifter include its visual style and music.

Platformer GRIS wins Best Mac Gamefrom Devolver and Nomada Studio. The game doesn't boast outstanding gameplay, but the developers' approach to design, testing and storytelling will not leave you indifferent.

Platformer also won Best Apple TV GameWonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap. The developers quite accurately transferred the game from the Sega Master System, redrew the environment and characters. That’s why even in 2019 the platformer feels not like something from the past, but like a modern project.
