Apple patented VR systems for unmanned vehicles

Apple patents do not always lead to the implementation of the ideas described in them, but at least they make it clear what they are working on

the company is working.

The most recent patent disclosesthe introduction of virtual reality systems in unmanned vehicles. The patent was first filed by Apple back in September 2017, but it was published only this week.

So Apple wants to solve the problem withmotion sickness. The technology is designed for "moving cars that can lead to motion sickness of passengers." The company wants to create a system that replaces the views of a real moving world with a virtual one.

The patent also refers to the controller andthe mechanism for projecting animated images onto car windows. These images will be synchronized with movements, i.e. animation will respond to the actions of the car in reality. If the car turns right, the virtual projection will do the same, etc.

The VR system will also be able to hold meetings by placing avatars around the table.

In addition, we are talking about virtual zombies:

Passengers will be able to choose a quiet virtualprojection. For example, they will be able to swim along the river or fly on a steam plane over a beautiful landscape. In addition, it will be possible to choose something more interesting, like a chase or riding a post-apocalyptic world with zombies. When the car stops at the red light of the traffic light, the projection will stop, and then everything will be restored when the green light comes on.

The projection can be seen not only by one of the passengers, everyone sitting in the car can enjoy it.

This idea is still very far from being embodied ina life. Especially considering several recent tragic accidents involving unmanned vehicles. However, one day something like this can really appear.
