According to the PassMark benchmark, Apple's single-chip system in single-threaded performance is even

faster than the latest eight-core Core i7-11700K.

The Apple M1 processor is manufactured using TSMC's 5nm process technology. It is Apple's first proprietary processor for computers.

In the single-core PassMark test, the Apple M1 processorshowed the result of 3550 points. The Core i7-11700K scored 3542 points in the same test. The difference in performance between the processors is only 0.2%, which can be attributed to an error.
