Apple Recognizes 16GB iPod touch 5th Generation Obsolete

Apple has expanded its list of legacy devices with the 5th generation 16GB iPod touch.

Recall that this is an inexpensive version of the iPod touch 5,released in 2013 - a year after the older brothers. Unlike the 32GB and 64GB versions, the 16GB iPod touch 5 was only available in one silver color and lost its rear camera.

In the summer of 2015, Apple introduced the sixth generation iPod touch. The seventh generation made its debut only in 2019, after which the player never received a continuation in the form of new models.

Being on the Obsolete Product List means the device is no longer supported by Apple or its service providers.
