Apple, Samsung and Huawei continue to register gadgets in Russia

During the spring, many global companies left Russia. Among them was both Apple, which clearly announced its departure, and

and Samsung, which froze its business. However, as journalists from the Kommersant publication discovered, both companies continue to submit documents to register new gadgets for the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), of which the Russian Federation is a key member. Samsung Electronics, for example, until May 19 was listed as an applicant in documents for smartphones, monitors, TVs and other equipment, having submitted 12 certificates and 22 declarations in less than a month, including, among other things, the Galaxy A13, A13s and Galaxy A04 models.

Apple has been doing similar things since 10to March 21, which declared a scattering of new products from the spring presentation, including Mac Studio, the Studio Display monitor and, of course, the iPhone SE 2022, which even passed tests at the center of the Russian Research Institute of Radio. Huawei, which left Russia, is not far behind, having filed declarations for the Huawei P50 and the MateStation desktop PC in April and May. At the same time, distributors find registration in the EAEU strange, since it is easier and cheaper for companies to carry out certification in those member countries of the union (Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan), where they plan to sell goods.
