Apple starts raising iPhone prices due to inflation

Starting Thursday, all iPhone models began to cost more in Japan. Some smartphones have increased in price by as much as

20%. This may reflect the weakening of the Japanese yen against the US dollar, as well as inflation. Discuss

For example, the 128 GB iPhone 13 Pro now costs144,800 yen (~$1,066) down from 122,800 yen (~$904). Meanwhile, the iPhone SE 3 has gone up to 62,800 (~$462) from 57,800 yen (~$425).

The price increase for the iPhone comes shortly before Apple releases a new line of smartphones. Currently, the company has increased the cost of the iPhone - this did not affect other products.

As the world faces inflation (and a shortage of supply), this would be an expected move from Apple.
