Apple unveils iPad Mini 5 and updated iPad Air 10.5 with A12 Bionic chip and Apple Pencil support

Apple decided not to wait for the presentation on March 25 and released the fifth generation iPad Mini and the updated iPad Air.

iPad Mini

The new product received the same design as itspredecessor. All changes affected only the “filling”. The iPad Mini 5 now runs on Apple's 6-core A12 Bionic processor, just like the latest iPhones. Thanks to the new chip, the device's performance has increased several times. The headphone jack remains.

The tablet received support for the Apple Pencil stylus andupdated Retina display with TrueTone function and pixel density of 326 ppi. The main camera is 8 MP (f/2.4), and the front camera is 7 MP (f/2.2). The price tag of the device has not changed - from $400. Now the minimum modification is not 32 GB, but 64 GB.

iPad Air

The updated iPad Air 10.5 is a complete copy of the iPad Mini. The differences lie only in the size of the display and the price tag, which is more than $ 100.
