Back in August, the iCloud utility for Windows wassupplemented with a password manager so that users can access saved credentials not only from Apple devices, but also from Windows PCs. Now the list of features has expanded: it is now possible to generate strong passwords that can be used by applications or websites, just like in macOS and iOS.
Apple has also added support for ProRAW andProRes, which are respectively image and video codecs that preserve more information in each file and with less quality loss. Now, whether you take ProRAW photos or ProRes videos with your iPhone, the content can be synced and viewed on your Windows PC.
iCloud Drive also got new featuresin the Windows version. With this iCloud Utility update, the company finally allows users to add or remove people from a shared folder. Of course, iCloud Utility for Windows contains the rest of iCloud's features, including Photos, Mail, Contacts, and more.
