Apple Watch and HomePod users are facing iCloud issues

Apple— is much more than just an iPhone manufacturer, the company has many smart products such as

like smart watches and other technology. Most of these smart products connect via iCloud. The company's cloud service provides security and seamless synchronization between devices. Unfortunately, for some new users this experience is not easy. Apple Watch and HomePod users are reportedly facing activation issues on the platform. The problems seem to be on the server side as iCloud is likely receiving a lot of traffic due to the ongoing holidays.

New Apple Watch SE and HomePod devices can't sign in to iCloud

The post appeared on Macrumors.According to it, some users are encountering a verification error on their new devices — Apple Watch and HomePod. One user claims that Apple Watch SE purchases cannot progress beyond the iCloud sign-in process. Despite starting the iPhone pairing process, the verification fails several times.

Apple reportedly showed a solution, based on dumping encrypted data. This method involves deleting old passwords and data, which is not recommended. However, the user reports that his HomePod is stuck in the setup pass after several attempts. None of the solutions provided by Apple address the issue for users who have encountered this bug.

Considering these workarounds to somehelp, we believe the problem is with the Apple backend. Upon further review of Apple's support page, we see that the issue is still valid. Apparently, the company has not yet been able to fix this. The problem annoys users and prevents them from fully using their devices from December 25th. This is a huge problem when you buy a new device from Apple as iCloud is a vital part of its ecosystem.

By the way, this is the second problem associated withApple Watch SE in a couple of days. According to a recent report, some users in South Korea have sustained wrist burns due to overheating. Of course, only time will tell if this is a major issue with the smartwatch, or just something specific to a batch of devices shipped to South Korea.

As for iCloud activation issue, weHopefully Apple will find a way to fix this problem soon. After all, users don't want to wait until next year to fully use their Apple Watch and HomePods.
