One of the main factors that discourage Android users from switching to iOS devices is the closed nature
Причиной тому стал вступивший 1 ноября новый EU law obliging platform companies to open their platforms to third-party companies and developers. Failure to comply with the law will result in a hefty fine of 20% of global revenue, which in the case of Apple will amount to about $ 80 billion a year. Presumably, initially restrictions will be removed from the iPhone and iPad for the European market, but if other countries pass a similar bill, Apple will be forced to make this practice universal. By the way, in the US, a similar law is already being discussed.
Близкие к Apple источники сообщают об активной work on the discovery of “key elements of Apple platforms”, on the implementation of which a significant share of resources has been devoted. Previously, the European Union also obliged Apple to abandon the outdated Lightning connector, thanks to which iPhone 15 could receive a universal USB-C port next year.
