The price increase will take effect both for themselvesapps and in-app purchases starting in October. In particular, this will affect the regions of Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam and all territories using the euro as their currency.

Details on why Apple will raise prices inthese countries are not yet available, but this is probably due to the depreciation of the local currency against the dollar. And in Vietnam, for example, the rise in price is due to new local tax rules.

For those in the Eurozone, apps that cost, for example, €0.99 will now cost €1.19. The new App Store pricing will go into effect on October 5, 2022.
