Apple will still release iPhone SE 2 - with a 5-inch screen and a chip, like the iPhone 11

We've heard repeatedly that Apple will release a successor to the popular 2016 iPhone SE. Also these rumors

repeatedly denied. However, now sources claim that the iPhone SE 2 will still see the light of day, although only next year.

What to expect

According to insider information, the new model will have a screen with a diagonal of about 5 inches, which Sharp will supply for Apple. It will be an LCD, not an OLED panel.

In terms of design, the iPhone SE 2 will be similar to the iPhone 8, that is, you should not expect minimal frames and the absence of a Home button.

But the “filling” will pleasantly surprise you: the smartphone is credited with a new A13 Bionic chip, which is installed in the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The iPhone SE 2 is expected to cost less than the iPhone XR, which is now marked down to $599. Most likely, after its release, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be discontinued.
