APU for the first time showed German howitzers Panzerhaubitze 2000 in combat conditions

week, Ukrainian defenders published the first photographs and videos of artillery installations in combat conditions.

What is known

Panzerhaubitze 2000 is one of the mostmodern self-propelled artillery installations in the world. Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine disguised one of them in the bushes. There are no personnel for the combat use of self-propelled guns yet.

A few days ago, the Ukrainian Ambassador to GermanyAndrei Melnik said that our country plans to purchase 100 artillery mounts. The offer from the German side has already been received, but we need to wait for permission from the government.

Panzerhaubitze 2000 was put into serviceGermany in 1998. The howitzer has a 155 mm L52 cannon. Ammunition includes 60 shells. The maximum firing range is 67 km (active-rocket projectile). The armament of the artillery mount also includes 7.62 mm MG3 machine guns.
