This was reported by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine YuriyIgnat, writes the publication GRUNT. Most likely, we are talking about the X-101/X-555 cruise missiles that were launched today by Russian Tu-95 and Tu-160 aircraft from the Caspian Sea at one of the country's regions.

For those who are not in the know

IRIS-T is a medium-sized anti-aircraft missile systemrange of action. It was developed by the German company Diehl Defense in 2014. The complex is designed to destroy airplanes, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise and ballistic missiles. IRIS-T is considered one of the most advanced air defense systems.

By the way, Ukraine received the first IRIS-T system a couple of weeks ago. By the end of this year, we will receive another system. In early 2023, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive two additional systems.
