Armed Forces of Ukraine received an ultra-modern German VECTOR drone for UAH 7.1 million

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received the German VECTOR unmanned aerial vehicle. The drone is already protecting our

country in the Zaporozhye region.

What is known

The drone came to Ukraine not at the suggestionGerman government, but thanks to volunteers. VECTOR in terms of flight and observation parameters is superior to other similar models that are already in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and many other countries of the world.

The unmanned aerial vehicle can operate inthe most difficult terrain and has a low noise level. The drone is equipped with three rotary rotors mounted on the wings (one each) and on the tail. They are responsible for providing vertical takeoff and landing. The rotors are integrated into the design of the UAV.

The developer of VECTOR is a German companyQuantum Systems. The drone has an electric motor that provides up to three hours of battery life. The drone can carry a payload weighing up to 10% of the mass of the device itself, which, depending on the modification, is 7.5 kg or 6.5 kg.

VECTOR develops speed up to 20 m/s (72 km/h).The manufacturer claims that the aircraft is capable of withstanding winds with a maximum speed of 12 m/s. The wingspan is 2.8 m. The drone can operate at a distance of 20 km from the operator, which allows you not to endanger the life of the latter.

The main feature of the drone is the ability touser level to convert it into a tricopter. The operator needs to remove the wings, as well as replace the brackets and the tail section. This modification is called Scorpion. It is 1kg lighter than VECTOR. Flight time is 35 minutes at speeds up to 15 m/s (54 km/h). The drone can fly at a wind speed of 10 m/s.
