It is reported that the development of specialistsprompted by murders in Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Moscow and the Moscow region. So, three years ago the "Angarsk maniac" Mikhail Popkov confessed to yet another murder, thanks to which experts discovered a certain pattern in the behavior of the killers.

As a result, criminologists analyzed morethousands of crimes committed by 186 maniacs, including Andrei Chikatilo and Mikhail Popkov. Based on the data obtained, an algorithm was formed that made up a search profile of the attacker.

The mechanism of the development work is based on entering intoa special table of data from the scene, gender and age of the victim and the crime committed, in particular, the murder weapon. Then the computer calculates all the potential options and indicates the most correct one. Bessonov shared that you can get a portrait of a maniac in just a couple of minutes of calculations.
