Aselsan and Sefine develop the world's first unmanned warship with electronic warfare capability

Turkish companies Aselsan and Sefine have joined forces to create a new unmanned warship. He

called Marlin SIDA.

What is known

Aselsan is the largest defense companyTurkey, and Sefine is a private shipyard. Together they created and tested an unmanned surface ship for the country's armed forces. This was stated by Ismail Demir, head of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency.

Marlin SIDA will be used in the militaryoperations for offensive and defensive missions on the high seas. A feature of the warship is the equipment with powerful means of electronic warfare.

Sefine started work on the Marlin SIDA in 2019. Aselsan joined the project in 2021. Technical characteristics of Marlin SIDA have not yet been specified.
